Founded in 1888 under the title «London Financial Guide» as an information and business newspaper of the British capital. The newspaper had several competitors (the main one, «Financial News»), which were eventually bought out by the publisher and merged into one publication. «Financial Times» is traditionally printed on a well-recognized characteristic colored paper, the color of which is called «salmon» (a mixture of orange, red, yellow, cream, sand). «The Financial Times» has regional offices in many major cities around the world.
The modern newspaper «Financial Times» consists of 2 main parts: the first part publishes local and international business and economic news, while the second part, designed for a limited circle of people, provides a detailed analysis of financial markets and various analytics. «The Financial Times» publishes the prestigious FT500 ranking of the 500 largest companies every year. A periodical supplement to the newspaper, lifestyle magazine «How to Spend It» tells you how and what is the best way to spend money. The main sections of the newspaper are: World (Financial News of the world), US (Financial News of the USA), Companies (Company News), Tech (Technologies), Markets (Markets, Currency, Funds, Trade), Opinion (Discussions, Opinions), Work & Career (Work and Career), Life & Arts (Life and Art).
