«La Nouvelle Tribune» is a French-language weekly news magazine in Morocco, founded by Fahd Yata, the son of Ali Yata, a Moroccan politician and figure in the national liberation, workers' and communist movement of Morocco. The publication represents the interests of the left-wing social Democratic «Party of Progress and Socialism» (Parti du progres et du socialisme) abbreviated as «PPS». This political party of Morocco has existed since 1974, at first it adhered to the ideas of Marxism and scientific socialism, at present-democratic socialism, its main goal is to build a society of social justice. The party is considered the main representative of the Moroccan working class and peasantry, but it is not very popular — it occupies only 3% of the seats in the government.
