«Le Monde» is one of the most famous and widely quoted French periodicals in the world. It is a daily evening newspaper that has been published in France since 1946. The newspaper Le Monde is dominated by analytical articles on political topics, and its pages cover a wide range of «acute» topics, issues and problems of the French-speaking region of Europe and the world as a whole. Translated from French, the newspaper's name means «World». The success of the newspaper lies in its competent internal organization. For a long time, the largest shareholder of the publishing house and the newspaper itself was its own journalistic staff, which independently decided what materials should be published in the publication. Today, the newspaper is owned by the media company Groupe Le Monde, a major French publisher.
The electronic version of «Le Monde» since 1995 offers its readers many additional sections that are not present in the printed version or are superficially touched upon: science, opinions, video, music, planet, education, etc. Supplement to the newspaper-educational magazine «M Le Mag» (era, style, travel, food and drink). Every month, the newspaper publishes the author's political and economic magazine «
Le Monde diplomatique» (The World of Diplomacy, political weekly in french), which has many international versions in 20 languages. Other publications: «
Télérama» (weekly film and TV magazine), «
Courrier International» (France in the mirror of the international press, selected articles with translation).
