«168 Часа» (168 Chasa) — information and analytical weekly in Bulgarian, dedicated to investigative journalism, «Weeklies for business, politics and Show» (Weekly about business, politics and show business). The newspaper describes itself as «the only journalistic weekly in the country that is both serious and analytical, observant and professional, curious, useful and entertaining». Indeed, every week the newspaper «says» on incidents, crimes, corruption schemes, political scandals, scams, abuses in politics and economics, gives the reader an objective overview of national and international events, calls things «by their proper names». Translated into English, the name of this weekly means «168 Hours» (so many hours in one week, 24*7=168). The publication employs well-known Bulgarian journalists and TV commentators, who cover important and interesting topics for the country on the pages of the newspaper, and invite readers to participate in discussions. Each article you read can be discussed on the website in a special section or sent a review by mail.
The newspaper is published every Thursday on about 50 pages. Sections of the newspaper «168 Hours»: Scam, Razsledvane, Scandal, Reportage, Sports, Show, Comments, Secret, Cartoons. The «History» section raises «acute» issues of Bulgaria's past, publishes little-known facts and dramatic stories. The «On Focus» section offers readers a discussion and analysis of the most relevant topic of the week. Since 2015, the newspaper has been publishing an app called «Тайните на властта» or «Tainite na Vlastta», which tells about the behind-the-scenes political history of Bulgaria, examines and analyzes known and unknown facts, riddles and conspiracy theories. On the «Na Zdravnite» page, the reader will find news about medical innovations, tips and recommendations, and methods of treating various diseases, including traditional medicine.
The newspaper is published by the same editorial board as the popular daily «
24 часа» (24 Chasa). In fact, both newspapers are related publications, only «168 Hours» is more voluminous in content, analytical and designed for thoughtful reading.
