City & State is an American journalism and media company focused on covering current domestic political events and the environment of the city and state of New York. The company publishes the eponymous authoritative and independent political and government weekly dedicated to the latest urban events. The publication can be called the «City newspaper of New York for officials»: representatives of Congress and municipalities, city services, diplomatic missions, consulates. This is the only publication in New York City dedicated to its state and government apparatus, legislation, city services, transportation, current issues and problems. Since 2008, the newspaper has annually received prestigious awards from the New York Press Association.
The City & State edition was formed from several previously published bulletins: City Hall, a monthly magazine published by Manhattan Media since June 2006, distributed to government offices; The Capitol, which has been published twice a month since 2008 during state parliamentary sessions. In 2011, both publications were merged into a single one called «City & State», which from that moment was delivered every 2 weeks to members of the government and Parliament, executive committees, diplomatic missions, consuls and many other city and state officials, representatives of non-profit organizations and corporations, lawyers. Today, the newspaper is published once a week and distributed mainly by subscription, the traditional issue of the publication consists of 35 pages.
