The Polish newspaper «Super Express» has been known since 1991 for its publications of political, economic and public high-profile news, scandals and investigations. This is the first tabloid publication in Poland, and its readers remember it for its innovative, bold and often provocative journalistic materials, such as the publication of pre-election polls on the so-called «Day of Silence» on the eve of the 1993-1995 elections. The style of this publication is typical of the yellow press-a bet on the originality and sensationalism of the presentation of the material, sharp topics, large headlines, exclusive photos. The publication also contains serious materials, such as those devoted to business, finance, and legislation. Newspaper content: Wiadomości (Polish and regional news, international events review, bulletin of the Polish Diaspora in the USA), Gwiazdy (show business, life of Celebrities, famous personalities, royal families), SuperBiz (business and economics, law, finance), Seriale (TV series, telenovelas, series reviews, interviews with actors), Sport (sports), Auto (cars, presentations, test drive), Styl (health, fashion, style).
Until 2003, the style of the newspaper was quite moderate, but then it began to shift towards cheap tabloid publications. The fact is that at that time the publication simply had no competitors, and after that it became another tabloid «
Fakt». It was able to bypass the popularity of «Super Express» and above all due to a wider coverage of topics and a lower room rate. In the battle for the reader in the Polish tabloid press market, a real battle took place, which continues to this day and which Super Express is still losing.
This newspaper is also published in the United States in major cities (mostly by subscription) with the name «
Super Express USA» as a newspaper for the Polish diaspora, where it is considered the most widely distributed Polish-language publication. The American version of the newspaper is more moderate and restrained.
