«The Baltic Times» is currently the only «pro-Baltic magazine» in English. The publication was formed in 1996 by combining two newspapers: the «Baltic Independent» and the «Baltic Observer». «The Baltic Times». It is currently the only independent English-language news publication covering the three Baltic regions: Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. It is distributed mainly in the above-mentioned countries (airports, consulates, trade organizations, top-level hotels, restaurants, exhibitions), as well as in the UK, Poland, Canada, Australia, and the USA (through representative offices and partner organizations).
The publication is aimed primarily at foreign audiences: potential investors, businessmen, politicians interested in the Baltic states, as well as entrepreneurs, diplomats, tourists, and students who do not speak local languages. Since its foundation in 1996 and until 2012, «The Baltic Times» has been a weekly publication, currently published once a month. Main sections: Zijas, Estonia; Latvia; Lithuania (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), Q & A (Questions and Answers), Business (Business), Special report (Reports, Reports, diplomacy), Culture( Culture), Art & Event guide (Calendar of events, events, guide), Commentary (Comments, Author's notes), Outlook (Mail, communication with readers).
