«ఈనాడు» or «Eenadu» is India's largest Telugu — language newspaper, distributed mainly in the Telugu-speaking states of Andhra Pradesh in the southeast of the country and Telingana in the Deccan Plateau. In the ranking of the most widely distributed regional publications, it ranks 4th. The name of the newspaper means «Today» in English. To be more precise, the Telugu word «Eenadu» can be translated in two ways: «This day» and «This country». The newspaper's slogan is «People's voice speaks with every dawn». Published since 1974, the main editorial office is located in Hyderabad.
The success of this newspaper is primarily due to the competent use of all modern technologies in the collection, preparation of materials, layout, printing, and distribution of finished publications. The newspaper's editorial staff has developed its own standard or linguistic style of language, so that every reader from any region of the country can easily understand what is printed. In 1978-1983, the newspaper was remembered by readers for its investigative journalism. In 1989, the newspaper was the first in India to distribute its publications in villages, and a special small-format version of the newspaper was developed for this purpose, aimed at residents of the province.
Today «Eenadu» is published in various versions around the southeast India: Andhra Pradesh (23 versions): Anantapur, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Kadapa, Kurnol, Nellore, Ongole, Rajamandri, Srikakulam, Tadepalligudem, Tirupati; Telingana (12 versions): Warangal, Karimnagar, Mahabubnagar, Nizamabad, Suryapet, Hyderabad, Hammam; as well as 4 versions for Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai.
