An authoritative weekly magazine about French national, European and international football, published since 1946. Initially, it was a bulletin of the French Football Confederation «Fédération française de football» (FFF), but a year later it left its influence and became an independent publication. The magazine is known for its detailed reports, tables and detailed analysis of football events, as well as voluminous photo reports. It is considered the most authoritative football publication in Europe. Since the late 1970s, it has been published in color. At first, the magazine had a thematic division (French Football, European Football, African Football, Latin American Football), all parts were published in separate issues on different days of the week, but then they were combined into one single publication.
First of all, the magazine covers football events in France (League of Nations, French Cup, French Super Cup, Women's League, Juniors), reviews all matches and forecasts for the upcoming ones, discusses the latest news, transfers, players, provides detailed reports and photo reports [Ligue des Nations (Ligue 1, Ligue 2, National, D1 Féminine, Coupe de France, Trophée Des Champions)]. Each local team is usually assigned an entire page (Annecy, Bordeaux, Boulogne-sur-Mer, Bourg-en-Bresse, Cholet, Huesca, Laval, Lyon, Monaco, Osasuna, Paris-SG, Quevilly-Rouen, Red Star, Rennes, SC Lyon, Sète, Villefranche Beaujolais).
The second most important topic of the publication is European Football (European Cup, Champions League, Super Cup, Bundesliga, FIFA, EURO and others) (Coupes d'Europe, Ligue des Champions, Ligue Europa, Super Coupe, L. Champions Fém., Buteurs europ.).
The third section focuses on International Football (Premier League (ANG), Liga (ESP), Serie A (ITA), Bundesliga (ALL), Liga (POR), Eredivisie (HOL), Pro League (BEL), Premier League (ECO), Superleague (GRE), SüperLig (TUR), Super League (SUI)).
The fourth section is devoted to Latin American and American Football (Nations League, Confederations Cup, Copa America, etc.) (Brasileirão (BRE), MLS (USA), Copa Libertadores, Mondial des Clubs, Ligue des Nations, Coupe du monde, CAN, Copa Americam C. Confédération).
The content of each section and its volume depend on the availability of events, season, and period of the year. For example, Latin American football is covered in most detail from October to February. If you are interested in French national football, you can't find a more reputable publication. The magazine annually presents awards: «Ballon d'or» («Golden Ball», chosen as the best player of the year), «Ballon d'or africain» (Best Player of the Year from African football), «Étoile d'or» (Footballer of the Year), «Joueur de champ & gardien» (best striker and goalkeeper), and some others: Best Coach, Best Team.
