«De Tijd» is a Belgian newspaper in Dutch with business and financial topics. It has been published since 1968 and was originally called «De Financieel-Economische Tijd» (The Financial and Economic Time). It is published daily, except Sundays and Mondays in Brussels, for the Dutch-speaking business readership: executives, corporate representatives, bank employees, and financial professionals. The newspaper focuses on Belgium's domestic financial markets, banking and investment sectors, changes in legislation, and national and regional policies. Since 2009, it has been printed on paper with a characteristic light orange or cream shade («
salmon pink»). In 2012, the European Press Congress named it «Newspaper of the Year» in the category «Local Regional Newspaper». The publication is currently owned by Mediafin, which also owns «
L'Echo», Belgium's French-language financial newspaper. The content of these newspapers is largely identical. Other publications of the editorial board: stylish magazine-a weekly magazine about fashion and beauty for women «SABATO», a magazine about life in Belgium «Netto» (taxes, shopping, recreation).
In the electronic version, you can find various interactive materials: videos and podcasts with interviews from journalists and leading politicians, business representatives, various charts, financial instruments, and a lot of article material. Other sections of the electronic publication: Nieuws (Politiek & Economie, Tech & Media, Opinie) [political, economic, science and technology news, discussions, markets, quotes, various analytics], Netto (Lenen, Belastingen, Vastgoed, Erfenis, Verzekeren, Energie, Reizen, Sparen) [taxes, real estate, insurance, money, energy, recreation, savings].
