«Gibraltar Panorama» is a daily (since 2002) private newspaper in Gibraltar, published by journalist Joe Garcia since 1975. Joe was the founder of this newspaper, the main sponsor and editor-in-chief, and still is. For his contribution to the development of the local press in Gibraltar, journalist Joe Garcia was awarded the «Royal Prize» by the British Government. Translated into English, the newspaper is called simply «Panorama». Initially it was a weekly, a summary magazine with news for the current week, but in 2002 the publication, which was popular, was transformed into a daily newspaper. At the same time, the original name of the publication was retained. Today, the «Gibraltar Panorama» is printed on 30 pages in full color in English with several attachments in the local Yanito language.
Since its inception, «Panorama» has always focused on independence and freedom of speech, focusing on local news, putting the ordinary citizen of Gibraltar first, not politics or the economy. So the newspaper can safely be called «People's». Content of «Panorama»: news, official messages, business reports, society, social environment, leisure and recreation, travel. It also regularly publishes articles borrowed and adapted for local readers from the British «
Financial Times» and the Spanish «
El País». On the main page of Panorama, the main news headlines are printed in large font (like a tabloid).
